About Kogen Dojo Self Defense Academy
Kogen Dojo Self Defense Academy is a Relson Gracie affiliate with locations in Annapolis and Severna Park, Maryland, and describes itself as the only school in either town teaching authentic Gracie Jiu-Jitsu and the only one in Anne Arundel County built around the Gracie self-defence curriculum. Its Gracie Jiu-Jitsu head instructor Toney Waldecker is a 6th-degree black belt, and the academy carries an unusually deep bench — around twenty jiu-jitsu instructors from black belt down to assistant instructors, plus fifteen Muay Thai instructors including professional fighters. Classes run for adults and children at all levels, with women's-only classes, fight-simulation sessions and visiting guest seminars.
