About Raposo BJJ Academy
Raposo BJJ Academy was established in Slidell, Louisiana in 2023 by Erick Raposo, a Brazilian-born IBJJF-certified third-degree black belt and referee who has won Brazilian National, American National, Pan American and World titles in gi and no-gi. The academy teaches gi and no-gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu with fundamentals, all-levels and advanced drilling classes, two kids tiers (ages 4-10 and 7-and-up colour belts), a women's jiu-jitsu programme centred on self-defence, and a dedicated law-enforcement defensive-tactics programme. Two of its three professors, Kennedy Franklin and Stephanie Williamson, earned their black belts under Raposo.
