Gonzalez Boxing Academy & Fitness at 1003 E 13th St N in Wichita, Kansas is a USA Boxing certified academy running age-banded boxing programs: Pee Wee (6-8), Kids Beginner split into 9-11, 12-14 and 15-17 bands, Adult Beginner (18+), a morning adult boxing conditioning class, and a Competition Team (8-34) that trains four two-hour sessions a week and is entered by progression and coach approval only. Founder and head coach Ricardo Gonzalez is joined by Coach DJ, a technical specialist with nearly twenty years in the sport, and Mike Magdalino, who fought 11 years in the Oklahoma Golden Gloves and has coached nationally ranked fighters. The gym also runs a Saturday open gym for existing members and takes private sessions by appointment on Sundays.
