About Professional Martial Arts
Professional Martial Arts (PMA) is a Topeka dojo at 1900 SW Clay teaching Okinawan Shorinryu karate, aikido and Kyusho-Jitsu (the Dillman pressure-point fighting method), with children's, youth and adult classes and a fitness kickboxing class. It was built around Grand Master Ruben West, a 9th-degree black belt in Dillman Karate International, and Grand Master Kevin S. Wilson, a 7th-degree DKI black belt who has taught at the school since 1997; both trace their karate back to Ronnie Moore at Washburn University and to seminars with Okinawan masters including Shoshin Nagamine. The school says its methods have been running for more than 25 years.
