About Naples Ju Jitsu
Naples Ju Jitsu trades as Gulfcoast Academy of Martial Arts at 1888 40th Terr SW in Naples, FL, teaching Niseido Ju Jitsu — a traditional Japanese ju-jitsu built around the seven principles of the Code of Bushido — rather than Brazilian jiu-jitsu. Since June 2020 it has shared its location and program with ASK Karate (American Sports Karate), a Wado Karate school operating in Naples since 2008. Classes run Monday and Wednesday evenings with Friday and Saturday by appointment, and a teen and adult self-defense class meets Friday evenings by appointment. Head instructor Renshi Rick Parlante is a 5th-degree black belt (Godan) in Niseido Ju Jitsu with over 45 years in martial arts.
