About Jax (Jacksonville) Muay Thai

Jacksonville Muay Thai (JMT) calls itself the city's longest-standing gym dedicated to authentic Muay Thai. Junior programmes run from Mini Muay Thai for ages 3-6 through kids, teens and junior sparring for 7-16, graded through a twelve-level Prajiad system with testings three times a year; adults train All Levels Muay Thai, a longer Muay Thai Camp, a women's class, sparring restricted to Level 3 students and above, and a stretch and mobility class. It also runs a 'Muay Thai for Warriors' class for veterans, police and firefighters, Rock Steady classes, a fight team, and open gym hours seven days a week. The gym was founded by Kru Giles, who started it with a class for his then three-year-old daughter and her friends — several of those first students now coach there as teenagers.
