About Base Camp Chiropractic and Jiu Jitsu

Base Camp is a combined chiropractic clinic and Brazilian jiu-jitsu gym at 3645 Park Street in the Riverside neighbourhood of Jacksonville, Florida, run by Coach Brian — a chiropractor, BJJ purple belt and homeschooling dad. The jiu-jitsu side is deliberately built for hobbyists rather than competitors: small classes, low ego, no pressure to compete, adults' classes early morning, midday and evening, and kids' classes at 4-8 and 9-14 timed for homeschool families. Membership is $150 a month with steep family discounts (the fourth and fifth family members train free), there are no lock-in contracts, and newcomers get a free week of unlimited classes with a loaner gi.
