About BJJ Swamp Academy
BJJ Swamp Academy has served Gainesville, FL since 2015 from 3300 SW Archer Rd, teaching adults and children Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in gi and no-gi alongside kickboxing/Muay Thai, wrestling and a members-only MMA/sparring class. The weekly timetable runs seven days with fundamentals, advanced (6+ months), teens, Little Gators and kids classes, and a Friday women's class taught by resident brown belt Danielle Hulvey. Head instructor Kenneth Juan is a 3rd degree black belt with over 20 years in BJJ and 16 years of competition, a Team Pablo Popovitch affiliate whose lineage runs Carlos Gracie to Crolin Gracie to Pablo and Jorge Popovitch, supported by six assistant instructors from purple to black belt.
