City of Palms Jiu Jitsu at 11931 Metro Pkwy #3 in Fort Myers, Florida runs adult gi and no-gi classes five mornings and five evenings a week with a structured beginner, fundamental and pro curriculum, kids' classes for ages 5-9 and 10-14 in gi and no-gi four nights a week, a Tiny Tots class for ages 3-4 on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and invite-only competition classes for kids on Fridays and adults on Saturdays. Founded by a coach known as Brock, the academy frames itself around building confidence in children and adults alike, keeps class ratios low, and tracks progress through belts and stripes. The first class is free, out-of-town drop-ins train free of charge, and the academy partners with We Defy and Adopt-a-Cop.
