About Ultimate MMA & Jiu-jitsu Training Center
Ultimate MMA & Jiu Jitsu Training Center in North Haven, Connecticut is a 5,000 sq ft facility with a 20-foot octagon, a 24-foot boxing ring and a matted wrestling and grappling area, teaching Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, MMA, Muay Thai and boxing from beginner through professional-fighter level, with kids classes from age 4. Owner and head instructor Andrew Calandrelli started BJJ in 1996, received his black belt in 2007 and is a 4th-degree black belt under Marcelo Garcia with Team Alliance, an IBJJF-certified referee, a USA Boxing certified coach and a retired professional MMA fighter who competed in Bellator. Head kids instructor Marisa Messer-Belenchia is a first-degree BJJ black belt, an Invicta FC professional MMA fighter and a professional boxer.
