About Silverback Training Facility
Silverback Training Facility at 28 Main Street in East Hartford, CT teaches Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in gi and no-gi alongside Muay Thai/kickboxing, with kids classes in both disciplines and women-only Ladies BJJ and Muay Thai sessions. Morning and evening classes run every day of the week, and the gym also offers competition training and strength and conditioning. Owner Professor Rafael Quinones started BJJ in 2006 under Professor Fabiano and earned his black belt in five years; fellow black belt Jeff Nelson has medalled multiple times at IBJJF including at black belt, and the striking side is coached by Dave Abreu and Manny Sanchez, a Phil Nurse lineage Muay Thai instructor with regional championship titles.
