BJJ in San Marcos

San Marcos (California, not to be confused with the Texas city of the same name) has two BJJ academies: Mission Grappling Club and San Diego Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu & Mixed Martial Arts. Small local scene that's complemented by neighboring Escondido (10 minutes east) and Carlsbad (15 minutes west), so practitioners have easy access to larger clusters if they want more training partner variety.

Both gyms are independent. San Marcos works well as a home-base option if you live in the immediate area; otherwise you're spoiled for choice across the 20+ gyms in the North County corridor.
