About EDJ School of Jiu-Jitsu Riverside
EDJ School of Jiu-Jitsu Riverside is one of two EDJ academies in Riverside County, CA (the other is in Hemet) and the hub of a wider EDJ affiliate network. It runs adult, kids and women's-only Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu programs, private classes and a competition team. Head instructor Juan Pablo "JP" Garcia was born in Italy in 1982 and grew up in Ecuador and Colombia, where there were no BJJ black belt instructors; he travelled between the US and Brazil to train, learning from Helio Gracie, Fabio Gurgel, Cobrinha and Marcelo Garcia among others, moved to the US and joined Gracie Barra in 2008 and earned his purple, brown and black belts under Carlos Gracie Jr. by 2011.
