BJJ in La Jolla

La Jolla has two BJJ academies — SD Fight Academy (La Jolla Martial Arts & Self-Defense) and RADA Jiu Jitsu Academy. Small footprint for the neighborhood, mostly because most La Jolla residents commute to the larger San Diego gyms in UTC, Mission Valley, or downtown for more tier variety and bigger training partners.

Both local academies work well for people who want a shorter commute and a smaller training partner pool. For top-end competition training, Atos and Gracie Humaita flagship locations are 10-15 minutes south in La Jolla Village / UTC / San Diego proper.
