About Sacred Mountain Fighting and Healing Arts

Sacred Mountain Fighting and Healing Arts is a kung fu school in the Sunnyside neighbourhood of Flagstaff at 2319 E Spruce Avenue, teaching Southern Shaolin Tiger Crane, Shaolin Northern Long Fist, Bagua Zhang, Wing Chun, 18 Buddha Palm and Yang-style Tai Chi alongside practical self-defence and traditional Chinese lion dance, framed by Traditional Chinese Medicine five-element theory. Classes run as adult beginner, intermediate, advanced and black belt tracks, Tiger Cubs for ages 4-6, Little Dragons for 7-12, Tai Chi three mornings a week, lion dance, open training and instructor training. Head instructor Sifu Matthew Banks has over twenty-five years in martial arts, holds Godan rank in Mukei Goshin Jutsu and is a 34th-generation disciple of the Shaolin Temple.
