About Port City Combat Sports
Port City Combat Sports has operated in Mobile, Alabama since 2007 and teaches Brazilian jiu-jitsu, MMA, kickboxing, judo and wrestling across age groups from Tiny Tots (3-4) up to adults, with a second location in Fairhope. It is led by head coach Jimmy 'Cornbread' Mills, a 4th-degree BJJ black belt promoted by Helio 'Soneca' Moreira, Rafael Ellwanger and Adriano Lucio, a former US Open kickboxing champion and kickboxing black belt under Duke Roufus, and the first certified Sambo instructor in Alabama. The gym has produced professional fighters who have competed in the UFC, Bellator, PFL, Strikeforce and Glory, partners with Athlete's Choice PT for on-site physical therapy, and supports the We Defy Foundation, which puts combat veterans with service-connected disabilities through BJJ training.
